Freelance Quantity Surveyor

My client are an industry leading, award-winning construction and property developer recognised for delivering major student accommodation and multi-use developments throughout the UK.

With a robust portfolio of diverse and captivating projects, they are in search of an adept and skilled Quantity Surveyor to integrate into their dynamic team. This role entails involvement in multiple recently secured ventures spanning the Manchester and North West region.

As a Quantity Surveyor, your core duties will include:

* Efficient management of project expenditures from inception through to completion, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and financial targets.
* Oversight of the procurement process, encompassing tendering, negotiation, and contract administration.
* Proficient handling of diverse contract formats ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
* Identification of avenues for cost reduction and value amplification.
* Effective management of subcontractor relationships, spanning procurement, payment processing, and conflict resolution.
* Recognition and mitigation of potential risks associated with costs, contracts, and procurement.
* Preparation of precise and timely financial reports, forecasts, and cost analyses.

Qualifications:

* Demonstrated expertise as a Quantity Surveyor in main contracting, with a focus on large projects.
* Proficiency in navigating various contract forms.
* Robust commercial insight and negotiation prowess.
* Superlative communication and interpersonal aptitude, facilitating effective collaboration with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
